Op Shop Finder Australia is a free, independent directory of op shops, charity shops and thrift stores across Australia. We currently index 3,306 stores in 1,488 cities across all 8 states and territories.

Why we built this

Australia has a thriving op shopping culture, but finding shops near you usually means scrolling Google Maps, outdated directories or Facebook groups. We wanted a single, well-organised place to browse by state and city, check opening hours, see ratings and get directions.

Where the data comes from

Listings are sourced from publicly available business data on Google Maps. Each entry includes name, address, phone, opening hours, ratings and reviews when available. We refresh the dataset regularly.

What's an op shop?

"Op shop" is short for "opportunity shop" — an Australian term for a charity-run second-hand store. They sell donated clothing, furniture, books and homewares at low prices, with proceeds funding the Salvos, Vinnies, Lifeline, Red Cross, the Brotherhood of St Laurence, and many other community charities.
